Dear Followers, as today is the 200th anniversary of the publication of Pride and Prejudice please expect an inordinate amount of Austen related spam.
Seriously though I am ridiculously excited because, for me at least, this is the most important book ever published. I fell wholly in love with the novel at thirteen and I never looked back. If I hadn’t read this I probably wouldn’t be sat here, studying English at University in a beautiful city in a county that Jane knew so well. Unfortunately double lectures prevent me from staying in and having a Prej’ movie marathon/readathon. But instead I’ll be taking my own copy of the book with me to dip in and out of between lectures and to frighten my fellow passengers by laughing out loud on the bus home.
Happy Pride and Prejudice Day Everyone! xx
